​“Waterfront Reimagined In Ink” – 2025 9th Moyun Youth International Ink Art Competition

Event Introduction Waterfronts carry the memories of urban history and nurture the hopes of a better future. On April 20, the global call for entries officially begins for the 9th Moyun Youth International Ink Art Competition 2025, themed "Waterfront Reimagined In Ink." This year’s competition follows a dual-theme model of “Tradition and Future”, featuring two categories: - "Present Group": Focused on real-life waterfront scenes in 2025 - "Future Group": Envisions the integration of technology and humanity along future waterfronts in 2035 Participants are invited to express their ideas through various forms, including: Creative painting, children’s painting, calligraphy, ink painting, AI art, and photography. Iconic riverside architecture along the Huangpu River (Shanghai), Seine River (Paris), and Thames River (London) are among the suggested subjects. A series of international art-making events will be held during the competition period, including: - London Circular Materials Workshop (late April) - Shanghai AI Art Creation Camp (May) Since its founding in 2017, the competition has attracted over 100,000 participants from 12 countries, including nearly 3,000 overseas youth. Starting in August 2025, award-winning works will be exhibited in Shanghai, London, and Paris, with collaborative waterfront art installations featured during the exhibitions. International Touring Exhibitions 1) China Exhibition – Zhujiajiao, Shanghai Date: August–September 2025 Venue: Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, Shanghai, China 2) UK Exhibition – London Date: August–September 2025 Venue: 2nd Floor, County Hall, London, UK 3) France Exhibition – Paris Date: August 2025 Venue: Galerie du Génie de la Bastille, Paris, France Participant Benefits 1) All winners of Excellence Awards and above are invited to attend the Awards Ceremony Dinner free of charge. 2) Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award winners will receive: Three-day trip in Shanghai, including free accommodation and meals.(Airfare and visa fees are not included.)
