🌟 Classroom Highlights
A special mention goes to all the children who remembered to bring their exercise books – your careful preparation made the lesson run smoothly. 👏
The children enjoyed and sang along with the music video “Mood Song” (parents can also watch it with their child at home: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4YKg2NA26U ), and through the melody they learned different feeling words with ease.
We continued with Purple Set, Unit 1 “My Feelings”. Through creative drawings combined with facial expressions and actions, the idea of “feelings” became much more vivid.
The children proudly presented their work and expressed emotions through actions, filling the classroom with laughter and interaction.
During handwriting practice, the children showed great focus and patience, producing neat and beautiful work on every page.
🌱 What the Children Gained
Through music, drawings and role-play, they learned and deepened their understanding of vocabulary related to feelings and emotions.
They grew more willing to speak out, sharing their ideas about the song and activities, which gradually boosted their oral expression.
They practised using new words in complete sentences, strengthening their ability to apply language in real contexts.
Through handwriting practice, the children not only improved the accuracy of their strokes but also developed greater concentration.
💡 Tips for Parents
We recommend that parents watch “Mood Song” together with their child at home (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4YKg2NA26U ), and then ask: “Which part did you like best? Why?”
Try asking your child: “If you are happy today, how would you say it in a sentence?” This will encourage them to connect classroom learning with daily life.
In everyday conversations, guide your child to use both English and Chinese when expressing feelings, for example: I feel very happy /
Keep up a short daily handwriting routine – even just five minutes – to gradually build good learning habits.
